Chilliwack was where PIPE UP originated, and so the Chilliwack Chapter has a long history of awareness raising!
In September 2015 we brought the city its first climate rally called “Rally for the Valley“, and we seemed to have been having so much fun we can’t find any pictures!
In May 2016 we also helped block the city from signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Trans Mountain/Kinder Morgan, which said they would receive funding if the proposed expansion was built. We saw this as a bribe and implicit support for the expansion. With some pressure the city decided to defer the decision.
Chilliwack chapter also hosts our festive celebration here every year!
