The Abbotsford Chapter has a special connection to our cause since there have been two spills on the part of the existing Kinder Morgan Pipeline going through Abbotsford.
We recently organized an event hosted by the Sumas First Nation on their territory called The Kinder Morgan Pipeline, the Climate, and you!“. We were excited that UBCIC Grand Chief Stewart Phillip, Carleen Thomas of Tseil-Waututh, and Ben West were all guest speakers!
We have also hosted other events, and done delegations to the city. Including recently regarding their signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Kinder Morgan. We are currently working on getting this MOU rescinded as well!
